The game is incredibly easy. Simply place your finger on the screen and drag left and right to rotate the helix. If you're on a computer, click and drag instead. All of the platforms will rotate along the pole as you drag left and right.
The goal is to fall as far as possible down the helix without touching red platforms. You can bounce on any other normal-colored platform. Look through openings to fall through and increase your score by falling through numerous openings simultaneously. If you fall through three or more platforms, you temporarily enter an invincible mode, where you can land on a red platform spot and destroy that entire platform.
Did you get an awesome score? At the end of every round, the leaderboard will come up and will update your ranking based on how well you scored. Can you get to the very top?
Collect coins along the way and use these to purchase cool new skins for your ball. Head on over to the shop and make a purchase. A random skin will be unlocked and selected. Can you collect all the skins?
Let's be honest: Helix Jump is far from the most complex game. It's fun to play in short bursts, or when you have some spare time. The game's arcade-like gameplay keeps you constantly trying to improve your score, but the game doesn't have much else to offer.
That said, the skins are still fun to try and unlock, and the leaderboards add some friendly competition. At the top of the screen, you can see a progress bar that shows how far you have until you beat whoever's above you on the leaderboards.
