Slope Game

About this game

Are you ready to find the slope of a line? Obviously not, you're here to play Slope, the fun arcade game where a ball rolls down a neon green slope endlessly!

How to Play Slope

Slope is a surprisingly easy game to learn. However, it takes lots of time to master the physics and get that high score! The only thing to keep in mind is to use the A and D keys or left and right arrow keys to steer the ball left or right.

This goes without saying, but, make sure that you don't fall off of the platforms! Also, neon-red blocks aren't friendly: bump into them and it's game over.

As the game goes on, the speed increases, making it much more challenging! Go through speed tunnels (these are tunnels marked with arrows on the ground) to speed up the game and go faster.

Slope Glitches

Since Slope is a rather old game, it has quite a few bugs and glitches! As with most games, the bugs can be funny occurrences that happen every so often. Occasionally, glitches might put you at a disadvantage or make the game unfair. Other times, they might give the player an advantage. Below we provide a list of some common and rare glitches and bugs in Slope. Keep in mind that this list is not exhaustive, there might be more undiscovered ones.

Here's a fun glitch that you can practice: right as you die, keep spamming the "enter" button on the keyboard. If you do this correctly, a new map will load in before a new game starts. You'll find yourself on the main menu, while the game is still running! If you press the replay button, the map will regenerate for a second time. This won't be noticeable, because both maps will be identical and overlapping. However, when you reach a speed tunnel, its effects are multiplied by two (since you are technically going through two speed tunnels simultaneously). This can make the game much faster and allow you to quickly increase your score.

The ball bouncing is quite an annoying bug that might mess up the rhythm of the game. Sometimes, when the ball hits the ground, it might bounce a few times. This is not intended behavior and is unavoidable, especially at higher speeds. The player loses control of the ball at this point, making it impossible to go over ramps or dodge obstacles.

A side-effect of the bouncing bug is that the ball might lose its momentum. Some players report that the ball clips into the ground, which causes the player to die if on a ramp.

Clipping is not only exclusive to the ground, at high speeds the ball is known to clip into everything. It's entirely possible for the ball to completely clip through obstacles such as ramps and speed tunnels.

There's nothing worse than falling off a platform and dying, except for falling off of a platform and not dying! Sometimes the ball might infinitely fall without respawning. The only thing to do in this case is refresh the page to start the game all over.
