The controls in Hydro Racing depend on if you're playing in single player mode or two-player mode. If you're in single-player mode or are Player 1, the boat is controlled with the WASD keys. Use W to accelerate, A and D to steer, and S to break. If you want that boost of speed, press and hold Shift to activate Nitro. The nitro meter can be checked in the gauge at the bottom left of the screen.
If you are player two, then the controls are similar but require different keys. Rather than using the WASD keys, you must maneuver the boat with the arrow keys. Press and hold the O key to activate Nitro. The nitro meter can be checked in the gauge at the bottom right of the screen.
