How to Play Red Ball 2?

Red Ball 2 can be played online for free without needing Flash at Gilect Play! At it's heart, Red Ball 2 is a simple platformer. Using the arrow keys or WASD, you can control the red ball through the level. But watch out, there will be many obstacles in the way!

Watch out for gaps that can lead you to fall to your death! You'll have to time your jumps right to get past these. There are also spikes scattered throughout levels. You have to be careful not to bounce on them or else Red Ball pops! While Red Ball can swim in normal water, be weary for the green goo, as Red Ball can't swim in it. Staying in the green goo for more than a second also makes Red Ball pop.

Throughout the level there are checkpoint flags. If you reach a checkpoint and pop after, you won't have to restart the level but will instead be placed back at your last checkpoint. As such, it is always recommended to not skip past a checkpoint and always go for them.

Sometimes a bit of stopping and thinking is required. For example, if you can't reach a platform, you might have to push a box underneath it to boost you up. Other times, you have to fill up pits with water so you can safely go down. In one level, there is even a massive pit of goo you can't jump across! You'll have to push wooden boxes and boats to make your way past it.

In order to successfully finish a level, you first have to collect all stars. A progress bar at the bottom will show you have many stars you have left to find. These stars can be in hard to reach places, so critical thinking is sometimes required! Once you have collected all the stars of the level, you can raise the final red flag.

How Long is Red Ball 2?

Red Ball 2 is no short game! There are 20 levels total each with varying degrees of difficulty. If you're able to get past all 20 levels, you can unlock the bonus levels! Bonus levels do not count toward completion of the game, but they are always fun to play and offer a bit of variety.

Because Red Ball 2 is a lengthy game, it can take a while to complete. That said, there are some speedrunners who take challenge in completing the game as fast as possible. The current world record for Red Ball 2 is a meager 6 minutes and 59 seconds, however it will likely take much longer to beat it.

Speedrunners have already memorized all of the fastest routes and level layouts, and they know how to solve the puzzles present throughout some levels. Getting to such quick speeds requires lots of practice and dedication, but it's totally worth the exhilarating rush you get when you beat a new world record! Practice your Red Ball 2 skills by playing it for free on Gilect Play!

Glitches and Bugs in Red Ball 2

While emulation has its benefits, it still isn't perfect and there may have been a few errors when converting Red Ball 2 from Flash to HTML. Sometimes water might not render but rest assured that it's still there and can be swam in. The game may also lag sometimes on lower performing devices. Who Made Red Ball 2?

Red Ball 2 was developed by Evgeniy Fedoseev as a Flash game in 2009, making it nearly a decade and a half old! Back then, the game was sponsored by King.com, who are now the creators of Candy Crush Saga series.

There are a total of 6 Red Ball games and they were all created by Evgeniy Fedoseev. These include Red Ball 1, Red Ball 2, Red Ball 3, Red Ball 4 Volume 1, Red Ball 4 Volume 2, and Red Ball 4 Volume 3. Currently only Red Ball 2 is available to play with no Flash due to emulation issues with the other 5 games.
