Fireboy and Watergirl is an exciting 2 player game created by Oslo Albet where one player takes control of Fireboy and the other player takes control of Watergirl. Work together to collect all the diamonds and safely reach the exits. But watch out! Fire and water don't mix...
In Fireboy and Watergirl, both characters are controlled separately but on the same keyboard. Use the arrow keys to control Fireboy and WASD to control Watergirl. Together, you must find the way to the exit without perishing.
Fireboy cannot touch water and Watergirl cannot touch lava. But, Fireboy can touch lava and Watergirl can touch water. Use this to your advantage and work together to make sure each character takes the smartest path. But watch out, green goo is deadly to both Fireboy and Watergirl!
Throughout a level, there will be various buttons and levers. These can open doors needed to proceed. Sometimes, a rock is needed to trigger a button that's inaccessible. Other times, a box hidden behind a door offers the boost needed to jump across a big gap. Solve the puzzles and figure out how to beat the levels using your logic and problem solving skills!
Fireboy and Watergirl has approximately 30 levels, each gradually increasing in difficulty. How quick you beat it ultimately depends on if you do it alone, or with a friend. If you play with a friend, you can both work together and have both characters controlling simultaneously.
The world record speedrun for Fireboy and Watergirl 1: Forest Temple is 16 minutes and 57 seconds. This is a very impressive time, as it takes lots of skill and memorization to understand how to beat each level and not fall into goo. Chances are, if you're first playing the game, you won't beat it this quickly because you have to figure out how to beat the levels first. But the more you practice the better you get, and slowly you'll find yourself completing the game faster and faster each time!
