Fireboy and Watergirl are back for their fifth and biggest adventure yet! Solve the puzzles and collect the diamonds as you race the clock to beat the level as fast as possible. Work together with a friend or challenge each yourself by controlling both characters simultaneously.
Fireboy and Watergirl 5: Elements features the biggest variety of levels to date! This time, there are over five temples to explore, each corresponding to one of the elements. These include the newly unveiled Fire Temple, The Water Temple, The Forest Temple, The Ice Temple, The Light Temple, The Wind Temple, and The Crystal Temple. Play through all the temples and get to the exits safely!
In order to beat Fireboy and Watergirl 5, you have to complete each of the levels in each of the temples. To beat a level, you have to safely navigate Fireboy and Watergirl to their corresponding doors while collecting all of the diamonds scattered around the map.
Fireboy is controlled uisng the arrow keys, and Watergirl is controlled using the W, A, S, and D keys. You can share the keyboard with a friend and have each player control one of the characters, or you can solo the game and control both characters at once.
Oh no, it looks like there's a giant lava pit that Watergirl can't cross! And Fireboy can't cross a water pit. Each of the characters can touch their own elements, but not the opposite one, otherwise the evaporate! Just remember that fire and water don't mix well... and look out for the puddles of green goo! Neither Fireboy or Watergirl can safely cross these.
There are all sorts of levers and buttons you can interact with to open and close doors, as well as boxes and rocks you can use to get a height boost. Figure out how to solve the puzzles while platforming through the level to safely get to the escape door!
Different temples have new gimmicks. For example, in the ice temple, Fireboy can slide on ice while Watergirl gets stuck and can't move. Meanwhile, Watergirl can climb up icy slopes while Fireboy slides right down. Or in the light temple, there are lasers and mirrors which need to be activated to open doors. Each of the gimmicks will be explained in the game as you progress further, so don't worry if you don't understand everything at first.
The creator of Fireboy and Watergirl 5: Elements as well as all the other Fireboy and Watergirl games is Oslo Albet. This fifth edition of Fireboy and Watergirl was published on January 14th of 2019. The original Fireboy and Watergirl was published in 2009, which means this game came out exactly a decade after the original!
Fireboy and Watergirl 5: Elements is quite a lengthy game, featuring seven different temples each with a handful of levels to beat. How fast you can beat this depends on how well you know the levels and whether you play alone or with a friend. Remember, two brains are better than one, so try figuring out the puzzles with a friend if you're stuck on a level.
